Together: We Learn, We Share, We Pray, We Care with Courage, Trust, Love and Hope

Our School Prayer written together with the children of St Faith’s

Dear Lord

Please look after St Faith’s,

As we learn with courage,

Share with trust,

Pray with love and

Care with hope.

Help us to do our very best and

To think of those around us.

In Jesus’ name we pray

Amen

Faithful Friends 007

Being prepared to have a go, to do the very best you can and learn from mistakes

Christians believe God knows how difficult it is to persist when things get difficult and have faith that God will help them in the struggle.

 Bible Story: David and Goliath

David saw Goliath walking up and down and shouting and he saw that no-one stood up to him. “How dare he challenge us!” said David to the men around him. “We have the living God on our side.”  1 Samuel 17

Share

  • Behave sensibly and follow school rules
  • Communicate clearly with each other
  • Cooperate with others
  • Listen to others and be open to change
  • Recognise we are part of a team
  • Tell an adult if we feel worried or unhappy

Sharing responsibility for and with each other and refusing to live in doubt or suspicion.

For Christians TRUST is at the heart of faith; trust in the God who is trustworthy.

Bible story: The Storm on the Lake

Then Jesus turned to look at his frightened disciples. “Why are you afraid? He asked. “Don’t you trust me? Jesus’ friends were amazed. “Who is he?” they asked one another. “Even the wind and the waves do as he says!”

Mark 4:35-41

Putting others before ourselves and thinking of others

For Christians LOVE is fundamental to the character of God. God is described as slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin.

 Bible Story: The Good Samaritan

Then Jesus asked, “Which one of these three people was a real neighbour to the man who was beaten up by the robbers?” The teacher answered, “The one who showed pity.” Jesus said, “Go and do the same!” Luke 10 36-37

Sharing in the joy that comes from the belief that all is never lost.

For Christians HOPE means trusting in God and believing that the foundations of the world are good.
